With a more holistic approach to fitness and health, Rubben is here to assist on all things
regarding fitness and health. A background of a medical degree and personal training
experience for over 7 years gives you a one stop shop on all your queries on fitness and health.
Training focus is mainly on strength, general conditioning, fat loss and overall functionality. My
focus is to reeducate clients perception on nutrition and training, bringing a more sustainable
and consistent approach to the people.
Why I got started
I dealt with childhood obesity up to the age of 15 years old from years of overeating and lacking
movement as my primary focus as a child was of academic nature. I stayed away from sports
and recreational activities most of my childhood, eventually, this led to self-esteem, body image
and confidence issues in my teen years. It was here i began to step into the gym and start my
fitness journey, i gained most of my experiences by trial and error until finally gaining proper
education via other coaches and trainers. I fell in love with the science and applicability of
strength training and how it can completely change the way you look and move. I strongly believe muscle is an organ of longevity and that everyone should include strength
training in their routines to achieve an overall improved quality of life.
Class description
Steady progression , tracking your strength and improved form on your lifts is my primary focus.
The exercise selections are according to your capabilities and will change over time as you
increase your strength and conditioning. The goal of each session is to get you stronger,
improve your everyday functionality and train efficiently towards your fat loss and muscle
building goals
