Client FAQ: How to Lose Weight Eating Out

Are you looking to lose weight but don't want to give up eating out? No problem! This article will teach you how to make healthy choices when eating out and still reach your weight loss goals. Follow our personal trainer's advice and see results in no time!

When talking to one of our personal training clients about his fat loss progress which had slowed down for a while, he mentioned that his biggest struggle in his program was eating with his colleagues during lunch. Whenever he accompanies them for food, the group ends up ordering multiple dishes that everyone shares with each other. This usually results in overeating cause they usually over order and it also makes tracking food a lot more harder.

One of the strategies we used to help him manage his lunch when going out to eat as a group is to order his own dish and only stick to that. If he would like to try another dish, he can always come back to the shop on another day again. Ordering his own dish and sticking to it makes it easier for him to track and manage his caloric intake which results in a reduced caloric intake and better food quality because he can choose his own meal that aligns with his goals.

Another strategy we recommend is to order a starter instead of a main dish or sharing multiple main dishes. Starters are usually smaller in portion and this will help to control your food intake. When you are with friends or family, it's easy to get caught up in the moment and overeat without realizing it. So by ordering a starter instead you can manage the amount of calories you eat.

If you are looking to lose weight and still enjoy eating out, follow these tips from our personal trainer and see the results for yourself! With a little bit of discipline, you can reach your weight loss goals and enjoy good food at the same time. Contact us today to learn more about our personal training services in Kuala Lumpur.
